I attended canine officer Mike McLaughlin's funeral on Friday afternoon. It was extremely touching. There were 100 dog-handler teams that lined the pew, and his canine partner, Franz, sat next to the coffin. Mike was always ready to help, trained countless dogs, competed at National events and internationally, was a valued Menlo Park SchH Club member, dedicated father, husband, friend, officer, trainer, and the list could go on for pages. We will miss you Mike, and we thank you for your friendship and touching our lives. He died at the age of 48 years of age, and we will miss you.
